For years, I’ve gone to the river bank to put love in the water. Five years ago, a woman would go to the river bank to get love.
Years later I met a new friend. She shared her healing journey, which included how she would go to the river – my same spot – to get love.
She’s been cancer-free for five years.
For years, I’ve watched a petite, gray-haired woman working at our organic food store. I never talked to her, but was touched by her smile and grace. Years later in her retirement, I met her at a Reiki exchange class. I learned that she sent Reiki energy – a loving, healing energy – to everyone who walked into the store.
I was the recipient of her love, along with thousands of others. She was doing her work with a capital W.
Perhaps why they call it a river bank. Only instead of exchanging money, we are exchanging energy. Throughout life we are always in an exchange – both giving and receiving. What kind of energy are we giving out today? On those days we need to receive – don’t worry, help is nearby.
